新城之始
The beginning of the new city
第一眼的城市地标
Landmark at first sight
看与被看的双线关系,是首先的思考点。一方面,从对岸、大桥等视角中所见的建筑形象需要被构想;另一方面,从建筑内部观看江景的视野价值亦需被充分满足。双线思考之下,建筑师画下最初的草图:沿外围布置建筑体量,内部形成广场容纳市民活动,而对外则塑造相对完整的形象。从这一思路延展开去,最终的综合体落定为一个双环形结构,外围的弧形三角轮廓中嵌套内向的圆形广场,双环之间勾勒出若干氛围各异的边庭,几段条形高层体量在外围基座上伸出并有所连缀。
Therelationship between seeing and being seen is considered first. On the one hand, the architecturalimage seen from the opposite bank and the bridge needs to be conceived; on theother hand, the value of the river view seen from the inside of the buildingshould be fully satisfied. Afterthinking about this relationship, the architects drew an initial sketch: thebuilding is arranged along the periphery, forming a square inside toaccommodate citizen activities, while creating a relatively complete imageoutside. Extended from this idea, the final complex is a double-ringstructure, with an inward circular square nested in the outer curved triangularcontour, a number of side-opened spaces with different atmospheres outlinedbetween the two rings, and several strips of high-rise volumes extending andconnected on the outer base.
海扑面而来,而江则窄长深远。就江景而言,其蜿蜒曲折的姿态使得多种角度的观景视线皆有别样体验。在这一规律之下,外围合的策略在保证形象纯粹性的同时实现了看江视野的最大化与多元化。在体型深化过程中,团队以各个朝向的空间视线为标准不断推敲,最终形成形式美感与视线价值兼具的结果。
The sea is broad, while the river is narrow and long.As far as the river view is concerned, its winding trend makes the view from avariety of angles a unique experience. Underthis law, the strategy of integration at the periphery not only ensures thepurity of the image, but also realizes the maximization and diversification ofthe river view. In the process of deepening the building shape, the team haskept deliberating with the spatial line of sight in each direction as thestandard, and finally achieved both the formal beauty and the line of sightvalue.

商业目标之外的公共活力问题
Public vitality beyond commercialgoals
创造真正富有活力的城市公共空间,是新城建设中一个核心问题。优质的公共空间能够为人群的非自发性活动提供载体,从而真正激发城市生活的活力。对于公共空间尚处于缺乏的状态的富阳鹿山新区而言尤是如此。作为新城起首的城市综合体,鹿山时代和与其毗邻的作为新城文化中心的“三馆合一”一起,天然构成了新城市民活动的“心脏”地带,对于新城公共空间的塑造承担着重要角色。因此,建筑师提出新城会客厅的构想,着力加强空间的聚合效应,使有限的建筑体量与公共活动内容发挥出更为显著的、城市层级的贡献。
Creating a truly vibrant urban public space is a coreissue in the construction of the new city.High-quality public space can provide a carrier for people’s non-spontaneousactivities, so as to truly stimulate the vitality of urban life. This is especiallytrue for Lushan New Area in Fuyang, where public space is still lacking. As thefirst urban complex of the new city, Lushan Times and its adjacent “ThreeMuseums in One”, as the cultural center of the new city, naturally constitutethe “heartland” of the new city’s citizen activities and play an important rolein shaping the public space of the new city. Therefore, the architects proposed the idea of “New City ReceptionHall”, focusing on strengthening the “convergence effect” of space, so that thelimited building volume and the content of public activities can play a moresignificant contribution at the city level.
下部商业通过层层堆叠的立体室外平台设计,将地面价值逐渐引入上方。同时也创造出多标高的看江视角,实现游走过程中步移景异的效果。在面向江面一侧退让红线并形成内凹的城市广场;而面向“三馆合一”文化集群的东北角方向则通过退台处理以塑造更为友好的边界。
Thecommercial section in the lower part is designed in a layered stereoscopicoutdoor terrace, gradually bringing the ground value to the top. It also creates viewsof the river from multiple elevations, so that the view changes as you walk.The boundary line on the side facing the river recedes to form a concave citysquare, while the northeast corner facing the cultural cluster of “ThreeMuseums in One” is treated with a receding platform to create a friendlierboundary.
60米长的挑空洞口为后排公寓的看江视线打开出口,也对商业人流形成引导。挑空连廊内的酒店大堂以其极致的江景体验成为一处观景目的地。通过上下部各个功能空间的价值挖掘,帮助综合体在功能协同作用之下形成真正的活力
The 60-meter-long voids open a window for theapartments at the back to view the river, and guide the flow of people in thecommercial section. The hotel lobby in the void corridor becomes a viewingdestination with its ultimate river view experience. The value exploration of functional spaces in the upper and lower partshelps the complex form “real vitality” under the function synergy.

大体量建筑的近人尺度
Approachable scale of largebuildings
对于大型综合性建筑而言,从宏观构想到恰如其分的建筑营造之间往往存在偌大的沟壑,需要以具体的策略一一回应。纯粹、饱满的完形需要合理的策略来化解体量的压迫感。建筑师回到“被看”的关系,从大桥视角、对岸视角更为深入地刻画建筑的面貌。最终立面采用宽窄不一的横向线条构建曲面的韵律,从不同的远近距离观看,曲面上具有弧度的横向铝合金构件在光线的照射下反映出亮暗的区隔,如同具有了山峦轮廓的投影。
For large comprehensive buildings, there is often ahuge gap between the macro conception and the proper building construction thatneeds to be addressed by specific strategies. To create a pure, full andcomplete form, reasonable strategies are needed to resolve the sense ofpressure from large buildings. The architects looked back at the relationshipbetween “seeing” and “being seen” and further described the image of the buildingfrom the perspectives of the bridge and the opposite bank. The final façade uses transverse lines of different widths to build therhythm of the curved surface. When viewed from different distances, thehorizontal aluminum alloy components with radians on the curved surface reflectthe bright and dark divisions under the light, just like the projection ofmountain contours.
建筑中大量的曲面带来一定的挑战,些微的偏移都有可能累积成较大误差。建筑师采用化零为整的方法,以1个圆心统领所有曲线,使得所有立面构件能够通过标准单元拼接的方式来实现。最终保证了设计方案在工程落地上的准确性。
The large number of curved surfaces in architecturepresents some challenges, and even small deviations may add up to big errors. The architects adopted the approach of“gathering parts into a whole”, with a single center leading all thecurves, enabling all façades to be achieved by standard unit splicing. Finally,the accuracy of the design scheme in project implementation is guaranteed.

Achieving a rich urban life
在鹿山时代设计开始之时,其所毗邻的三馆合一尚未定案。项目设计进程中,建筑师模拟不同远近距离观看两座建筑的视角,以此推敲建筑的沿街曲面形态,从新城建筑集群的角度思考什么是完好、理想的城市界面。当两座建筑先后落成之后,在滨水带上形成了“并置对立”的关系,以不同的姿态对这片新城作出注解。
At the beginning of the design of Lushan Times, the“Three Museums in One” project adjacent to it had not yet been decided. Duringthe design process, the architects simulated the views of the two buildingsfrom different distances, so as to deliberate on the curved form of thebuildings along the street, and to thinkabout what is the perfect and ideal urban interface from the perspective of thecluster of buildings in the new city. After completion of the twobuildings, they are “juxtaposed and opposed” on the waterfront, annotating thenew city in different ways.
投入运营以来,鹿山时代在功能、活动、视线上的构想已经被落地,给富阳新城的市民带来了崭新的生活载体。正如建筑师所言——“在一个区域长期地做项目,已经超越单个建筑的层面去关注城市整体的关系了。”在整个项目的实践历程中,对于城市界面的整体性思考为团队留下了宝贵的经验,也为项目构想的落地程度带来了保证。在长期运营的目标之下,这一城市建筑体的未来才刚刚开始。
Since it was put into operation, the conception ofLushan Times in function, activity and sight has been implemented, bringing abrand-new life carrier to the residents of Fuyang New City. As the architectsput it, “After working on projects for a long time in an area, we have movedfrom individual buildings to the city as a whole”. In the practice of the whole project, the holistic consideration of theurban interface has left valuable experience for the team, and guaranteed theimplementation of the project conception. Toward the goal of long-termoperation, the future of this urban complex has only just begun.
